Seeing as this place is so reminiscent of the old ted dekker boards, I think it's only fitting to have a CD thread like the original.

Obviously the overpowering board rules apply (No cussing, sexual content etc.).

There is no point to this thread. We are not necessarily taking our characters on an adventure. This thread is different from an RPG in the way that there isn't a plot. If you want to you can have you character(s) and others' go on an adventure if they agree. But that's not what this thread is about. Basically this thread is for characters to grow through interacting with others' characters.

Rules:

No killing other people's characters, unless they give you permission or agree to a high-stakes battle.

No controlling other people's characters unless they specifically give you the ability/right to.

And also, have fun.

*New Character*

Name: Micah Emeric

Age: 16

Description: Green, long-sleeved, army shirt. Tan, khaki pants. Brown and black Teva sandals. Green, straw fedora. All his clothes are worn and tattered a bit. He's got shoulder-length, brown hair. He has a hemangioma on the palm of his right hand. It's just under the skin so it looks brown-ish purple.
-----
Micah walked up and down the streets. Like he always did when he was bored. But it didn't take long for him to get bored of walking the streets and going into stores occasionally, even though he knew he couldn't buy anything.

He came upon a metal door. It was all rusty. It certainly wasn't a door that led to an apartment building or any proper living space for that matter. He wondered what could be inside, so he tried the door and found that it was unlocked. Inside was nothing but cement floors and walls.

[i]Great. More boredom. Just what I need in my life.

Micah plopped into a corner of the room and pulled his hat over his eyes. Just a few minutes of sleep and he'd get up and head home...

*Also new character*

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Description: 5'8, dark crimson hair, and green eyes. Wears a long coat that reaches to the back of her calves. The long-sleeved coat is black, and is worn much like a cloak, though it doesn't have a hood. She has a scar above her right eyebrow, one that is purple-ish blue.

Name: Eliss

-----

She hadn't seen daylight in years, it seemed. And now as she stepped out into the sunlight from a hole in the ground, she felt the air choke her with it's freshness. Sunlight burned her eyes, and she refrained from shrieking in anguish.

So many times, she'd come to avoid joining those on the surface. But now, she had reason.

Quickly, she scampered down the streets to find any place to duck out of the sun's intense beams.

Eliss found a huge metal door. With one swift motion, she swung it open, and ducked inside. Slamming it shut behind her, she breathed in the cold air within.

But... she didn't feel alone. No, someone was there. And she could just make out his form.

"Hello?"

"Huh? Wha?" Micah tried to see who was talking, but he couldn't see anything.

Then he remembered he'd fallen asleep with his hat lowered. He pushed it back up with his thumb.

"What'd you wake me up for?"

Eliss was a terribly angry person. It was her drive. Her life. And it took all of her to not unleash her fury at the voice from the darkness.

She could see him clearly, for her eyes were accustomed to shadow. Quickly, she assessed him, noticing the growth on his hand, and soaking in his appearance. Just a mere boy, it seemed.

A smirk crossed her face.

"Shut up. Doesn't matter if I woke you or not." She wondered if being a jerk would aid her in the task she had at hand. Eliss remembered why she'd come to the surface, and bit her tongue.

"Who're you?"

"I'm a very tired, bored fella." Micah sighed heavily, before deciding a real answer would be more appropriate. "Eh, you can call me Sloth."

Alright, he's strange. Eliss concluded, eying him thoughtfully. Her anger died as he spoke, somehow. Maybe it was because of her curiosity.

"Why are you called 'Sloth'?"

Oh, yes. He was definitely strange. He didn't appear to be a regular human being. Though, Eliss couldn't say that she was human either.

"Show me." Eliss demanded, more than asked.

She could take him down in an instant. And really, she was here for that, wasn't she? Blood. Human blood was her objective. And though he was strange, and nearly inhuman in some unknown way... he was still linked to the human race, and had blood flowing through his veins.

What was holding her back from taking what was his? Nothing.

"Give me your arm." Maliciously, Eliss's eyes began to burn.

(o.o She's not-nice, obviously. Just so you know.)

"You won't need it where you're going..." She spit to the side, and afterwards, she glared at him from the corner of her eye. In her mind, she envisioned her plot to take his life.

Eliss sighed.

"Fine." She took a step forward, and out-stretched her arm to grab him.

"I did." With inhuman strength, Eliss grabbed Sloth up by his collar, and wedged him against the wall. Her green eyes turned blood-red as the vampire in her took hold.

"Don't worry, you'll get your sleep." She leaned in to bite his tender neck.

He pushed her face away with his left hand.

"Whoa, a hickey on the first date? That's a little fast don'tcha think?"

Anger ravaged her inside.

"Who do you think you are!?" She tried to bite his hand that had shoved her face away.

"Someone you've mistaken as your lunch."

As Micah drew her face towards him with his left hand he hooked his right fist in for a tidy punch to her face.

... Eliss caught his fist. Smiling, her eyes continued to burn.

"Hmm. And you've mistaken me for your average ghoul." Eliss lifted her leg, and shoved the bottom of her foot against his chest, knocking the wind out of him. She propelled herself off him, and stood by the door.

She wanted his blood. She'd get it if it was the last thing she'd accomplish on this hell of an Earth.

Eliss began to pace the door, back... and forth. Lurking. Studying him and preparing her next move in her mind.

Micah took a small, old pocket knife out of his pants. He slid it roughly along a small section of his index finger. Then he flicked his finger in her direction.

"There. Enjoy your meal."

Eliss caught the droplet of his blood with her hand. In her hand, was the blood. The source of her life and existence. She was only a half-blooded vampire. But she still craved the iron-taste of the red liquid.

She glanced up at Micah, realizing that he was watching. Eliss turned her back on him, then licked the blood off the open palm of her hand. A craze lit her up. She'd tasted it. His blood.

Eliss went crazy, and wanted... more....
