That's like watching SNL skits. One or two of them are funny, but the rest are bleh.

The Road - 8/10

Dark and depressing, but very well done. It's like I was watching Fallout 3 at times, though.

I'm not sure I want to watch The Road. I loathed the book, so I'm nervous about the movie.

Although, ironic considering my critical stance on all sorts of crap, the last movie I saw was Iron Man 2, and I think it significantly surpassed the first. Better character work, better dialog, less action but more cleverly constructed, etc. Short of The Incredible Hulk, it would have to be the top of my Marvel film adaptation list. None of which will ever pass Batman. And I mean Batman (1966).

I'm intrigued to see what comes of Thor, Cap, and the Avengers.

Still getting used to Nick Fury being blac....I mean African American.

Stan Lee has hinted to getting a major cameo in Thor, as well as having just been asked to script a completely new and mind-blowing storyline for Marvel, to be announced tommorow.

Just don't watch Ocean's 12, whatever you do. I think 13 is okay though; I can't remember.

I agree about Dumb and Dumber. I think I'd give it maybe a 5, but as funny as it is overall, some of it is just painful. And I HATE the part with the bird.

I actually liked 12. This is the one series I really don't care much about the characters, more about figuring out the plot before they do.

Not too hard if you've read any of the Ultimate series. Before he was cast in any movie, they used his face as a model for Fury. That said, Jackson doesn't really fit Nick Fury to me. He should be more understated. More subtle. Less "you're an idiot, Stark."

Sweet, glad you liked it. One of my favorite movies.

Hostel

I promised myself one time that I would never see Sin City, Hostel, or The Devil's Rejects. Well, I finally broke that promise in full last night by watching Hostel on Syfy. I have to say of those three movies this one was the stupidest

6/10

Sam Jackson's face has been used as a model for several characters, methinks. The Detective Budiansky from Max Punisher: Widowmaker looks uncannily like him. The only Ultimate series I've read any of was the Spiderman ones, and as far as I can recall, Col. Fury didn't make an appearance.

I didn't like it. I said it was well done. But I didn't like it.

He did. Made quite a few, in fact.

Yeah. I wouldn't watch it again willingly.

The Ugly Truth 7/10

It wasn't a typical romantic comedy, which was great. I just love the smart aleckness.

Righteous Kill 7/10

Pretty solid. I think maybe the biggest flaw of the movie was that they (director, studio, etc.) played off their "plot twist" as the greatest focus of the film. Which is a real shame, because it was obvious very early on and, had it not been such a focus, would not have had a negative effect. Still, i don't feel the need for some great twist to enjoy a movie. If only artists would realize this.
