Character Development

"Can... I touch it?"

"Now what would you want to do a thing like that for?"

Silence.

Eliss wasn't sure why she wanted to touch it... she just... wanted to. There was a desire that was a bit stronger than just pure curiosity.

"You didn't answer my question. Can I touch it or not?"

"Sure. Why not? Cause I know you won't try anything. Cause if you did, I'd just fry your brains." He held his hand out palm up.

Eliss outstretched her hand.... She wasn't sure what she expected when she touched his growth. It's grotesque color and mass would have been appalling to any other being. But, not her. Perhaps.

Wonder if this'll kill me. She thought.

Then, her index finger made contact.

"Wow, that was quite anti-climatic."

Eliss blinked.

"Uh... yeah. A bit." She cleared her throat, and stepped back.

He smiled a bit. When she wasn't trying to bite him, she was kind of cute.

"What's your name?"

(A cute half-blooded vampire? XD)

"Eliss." She said. Somehow, when she was near him... her anger couldn't take hold of her.

"Is your name really 'Sloth'?"

He laughed. "No, that's just a nickname. My real name is Micah."

"Micah..." She tested it. The name did fit him, in some strange way.

"So, what're you doing here?"

"Trying to escape my boredom."

"Nice. I guess you did escape from boredom when I decided to give you a hickey from hell..."

What're you doing, Eliss?

She was being kind to him... what was -wrong- with her!?

"Heh."

He chuckled. "Yep, guess so."

An awkward silence.

"So, where are we going?"

"What? We? Going?"

"You're obviously bored out of your skull. You're not gonna stick around here... and it'll be a cold day in hell if I'd leave you."

She'd decided it. Now, he was stuck with her.

Gender: Female

Description: Bright blonde hair, runs past her shoulders, to the middle of her back. Two strips of hair frame her face, shorter than the rest of her hair.
Owns a pair of dark blue eyes, but are haunted.
She wears a tattered, knee-high black dress.

Lyia ran, the stores passing like a blur. There. Spotting the gift shop that had been told her, she glanced behind her.
The darkness that haunted her, even now, loomed behind. They had left her be for years, now they wanted her back. Their old puppet.
She glanced behind her shoulder again.
There was no escape, yet there were thousands of buildings housing the peaceful, those who were unlike herself.

As she passed a building, she heard voices. Mere whispers, but she heard them with ease.
Darkness filled every square inch, she could see it as much as sense it.
The smell of blood met her. Eyes widening, she paused.
Nothing good will come of there...
Hesitantly, she moved her left foot slight. She had to make it to the gift shop, or surely she would have no chance...and yet...

Moving closer, the voices grew louder.
A male and female voice, arguing. A soft chuckle escaped her lips. Realizing they could have heard her, she stepped back lightly, focus set on the door and the curious voices beyond.

"Well I don't know where we're going. Don't you bloodsuckers despise the sun though?"

"Yes, we do. But, if I had some sort of head-covering... the rest of my body is covered by my coat. As long as sunlight doesn't strike my flesh I'm fi-" Eliss heard something.

"Someone approaches."

"Wow, 'someone approaches'. This isn't the sixteenth century."

"... What century do you think I'm from?" She winked.

Quickly, Eliss moved to the doorway, and listened.

Movement sounded behind the door.
The talking had ceased, as she had been heard, or sensed. Neither of which she really cared.

No one could find her, she was in danger just standing here. She glanced around.
She debated whether to leave or stay. Biting her lip, she moved to the shadow beside the doorway, listening intently.

Crouching, her hand found a small pebble. Pressing herself against the wall, she tossed the rock near the door.

Eliss's anger flared as she heard the noise. Something dropping. A clack, perhaps.

"Alright, who's there!?"

"It's probably just a bird. Chill."
